Caitlin Clark Taken No. 1 in the WNBA Draft by the Indiana Fever as Expected

Caitlin Clark was selected with the No. 1 pick in the WNBA draft by the Indiana Fever on Tuesday, as expected. The Fever finished 10th of 12 teams in the league last year with a record of 13-27 and haven't put together a winning season since 2015.
Clark, a 6-foot-1 guard from Iowa, was the consensus No. 1 pick in the draft after a standout college career with the Hawkeyes. She averaged 27.0 points, 8.0 rebounds, and 8.0 assists per game in her junior season, leading Iowa to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament.
The Fever are hoping that Clark can be the franchise player that they have been looking for. She is a dynamic scorer and playmaker who can create her own shot and get her teammates involved.
