Dallas Mavericks Injury Report

Kawhi Leonard Listed as Questionable

Mavericks Prepare for Hornets

The Dallas Mavericks are preparing for the first of a back-to-back on Tuesday in a road clash with the Charlotte Hornets. The Mavericks are coming off a 111-105 win over the Los Angeles Clippers on Sunday in Game 1 of their first-round playoff series.

Kawhi Leonard, who is dealing with right knee inflammation, is listed as questionable for Game 2 on Tuesday. Leonard did not play in Game 1.

"He's just dealing with some knee inflammation," Mavericks coach Jason Kidd said of Leonard. "We'll see how he feels tomorrow."

If Leonard is unable to play, the Clippers will be without one of their best players. Leonard is a two-time NBA champion and two-time NBA Finals Most Valuable Player. He is averaging 24.8 points, 6.5 rebounds and 5.2 assists per game this season.

The Mavericks will also be without Maxi Kleber, who is out for the season with a torn right hamstring. Kleber is averaging 6.1 points and 5.2 rebounds per game this season.

Despite the injuries, the Mavericks are confident that they can win Game 2 and take a 2-0 lead in the series.

"We're a deep team," Kidd said. "We have a lot of guys who can step up and make plays."

The Mavericks will tip off against the Hornets at 7 p.m. CT on Tuesday.
